A questionable episode of "Dollar a Second", a very strange 1950s game show. This episode is guest-hosted by Dagmar. Not sure of the date, but old newspaper listings suggest 28 January 1955 was the date. Complete with the original commercials for Mogen David wine.

An episode of "Dr I.Q.", a short-lived and intentionally low-budget television game show that aired on ABC. A simple "question and answer" quiz show. The host tells us at the beginning of the broadcast that it was *not* rehearsed. Features promos for other ABC series (not sure of the copyright status of these promos). Very few episodes survive of this series. (thanks to TimL2009 for providing the date)

A 1968 episode of game show "Dream House". Complete with original commercials (since this is a daytime show, it features more ads than a prime-time show, but the ads are rather fun). Most episodes of this series are presumed lost, and oddly enough the 1980s revival is also largely lost. This show was controversial as many of the homes won in the show were not built. Still, an enjoyable bit of fluff. I think the copyright notice is invalid...am I correct?

A dated episode of "DuPont Cavalcade Theater", titled "A Chain of Hearts". This episode of the filmed US anthology series originally aired 1 November 1955 on ABC, and is presented here complete with the original 3-minute commercial, which appears after the main story has finished. Cast includes Charles Bronson as a man who seeks US citizenship. The rest of the cast consists mainly of character actors and bit-players, the kind who have over 100 credits on IMDb but nobody can...

Episode 260 of the popular twice-a-week British soap opera set in a hospital. Episode 261 of the popular British twice-a-week soap opera. In this episode, the Hospital staff have to deal with a suicidal man who faces criminal charges. (as with most 1950s British series, most episodes are lost...only 12 editions survive from 1959. In fact, the ITV franchise that produced this series, Associated Television, continued wiping some programmes into 1980!)

An episode of the popular half-hour 1950s anthology series. This episodes stars David Niven, Tommy Rettig and Frances Rafferty. Directed by Robert Florey, who does his best with the weak script. This was a good series, but well, it is highly uneven.

An episode of the popular 1950s anthology series. This episode stars Teresa Wright and is about a very lonely woman who meets a man. I assume this was meant as a tear-jerker. Aired 1 March 1956 on CBS at 9:30PM, aired against "Ford Television Theatre" on NBC and "Down You Go" on ABC (DuMont was barely broadcasting by this point. In NYC, its station showed wrestling during that slot. This copy uses the "Star Performance" opening titles. There were also repeats...

An episode of the half-hour anthology series of the 1950s. The episode stars Dick Powell and Akim Tamiroff, and was originally telecast 24 May 1956 on CBS. Tamiroff plays an unpopular dictator. Interestingly, the drama is filmed almost entirely in a single room. Note: my disc source has "fake" opening titles. I hope this is still OK to upload here.

An implausible episode of "Four Star Playhouse", a popular 1950s anthology TV series. This episode originally aired 15 December 1955 on CBS, however this copy is a syndication print under the "Star Performance" title, and is very slightly incomplete. Starring Ida Lupino as a woman trapped in her apartment.

An episode of the popular 1950s anthology TV series. Frank Lovejoy stars in this episode, which is said to be based on the radio series "Night Beat". Very well-directed episode. Other cast members included Frances Rafferty, James Millican, and Rhys Williams. In this episode, a newspaper reporter is interested to know why a woman wants her purse to be retrieved from a river. A shame they didn't make this episode into a TV series. Originally aired 5 November 1953 on CBS. I'm...

An episode of the popular 1950s anthology series. David Niven plays a hack film writer who has a chance at greatness. Beverly Garland plays his girlfriend, and Berry Kroeger plays his agent. It was directed by Richard Kinon, who later directed a lot of other TV series. It was written by James Bloodworth, who wasn't much of a writer but who had a great name. I mean, seriously, BLOODWORTH? Sounds like it should be a comic book character or a RPG character or something like that. Originally...

An episode of the popular 1950s half-hour anthology series. In this episode, Charles Boyer plays a man who returns to France to meet his 12-year-old daughter, who he has not seen in 5 years.  TV schedules suggest this was shown on 1 December 1955, though the user-edited IMDb suggests a different episode aired that date. This episode contains some brief exterior scenes shot in France, which are the most interesting aspect of the show.

Interesting episode of the popular 1950s half-hour anthology series. This episode stars David Niven, and is set during WW2. It is about the planned execution of a soldier. Originally telecast 6 October 1955 on CBS. Based on the running time, I have the suspicion this episode is incomplete. Directed by Robert Florey.
